U.S. Embassy Statement (05/13/2008)

On this third anniversary of the tragic events at Andijon, the United States extends its sympathies to the people of Uzbekistan.
There is still much to learn about this tragedy, but we believe the best way to ensure that these tragic events are never repeated is through ongoing dialogue, accountability and reconciliation.
