Conclusions/SignificanceHence, the combined approach ofin silico andin vitro-based EhAPSK analyses identified compounds that can be evaluated for their effects onEntamoeba. This can provide leads for the development of new anti-amoebic and amoebiasis transmission-blocking drugs. This strategy can also be applied to identify specific APSK inhibitors, which will benefit research into sulfur metabolism and the ubiquitous pathway terminally synthesizing essential sulfur-containing biomolecules.

ConclusionOur study demonstrates that up-regulated NID2 plays an important role in promoting the invasion and migration of GC cells and has a potential of being a novel biomarker for diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of GC in the future.

Conclusion: Synchronous hepatic and intestinal amoebiasis is not uncommon, and often requires endoscopic haemostasis in case of gastrointestinal bleeding due to colonic disease. We report the successful endoscopic control of bleeding amoebic ulcers in all 24 patients.
