In the past few days, Russian attacks on Ukraine’s capital have intensified quite rapidly.
After 50 days of relative peace in Kyiv, the city has come under fire for 10 consecutive days this month.
Overnight, air raids sounded as Russia launched a barrage of Shahed drones, the city’s military administration reported.
“From a tactical point of view, it was an attack in several waves, with short intervals between attacks,” Colonel-General Serhiy Popko, its head, said.
“With such tactics, the Kremlin’s evil is trying to exhaust our air defence, as well as psychologically influence the civilian population.”
All detected air targets were destroyed by the Ukrainian air defence forces.
“Attacks on Kyiv are not allowed. Thanks to the defenders of the sky for the excellent work,” he added.
